The art of healing could be traced back to the pre-human era, particularly when Pithecanthropus erectus emerged 2 million years BP. The tradition to use all parts of the tree: leave, flower, fruit, stem and root are quite reasonable, since it is easily available all over the year. But the development was too slow. This is due to the methods used, where myths mixed with trial and error were the only mean to explain the secret of diseases and its treatment.
