Isi artikelSolar activities give influence for long-term climate parameter. Ultraviolet radiation, visible radiation and heat radiation is represent the primary factor influencing this earth climate. This radiation parameter is varying to follow the variation of solar activities with periods around 11 year. Research on solar activities influence at precipitation variability over Indonesia during 105 years (1900-2005) conducted with the analysis of wavelet and empirical correlation at annual rainfall data, December, January, February (DJF) season data, and June, July, August (JJA) season data that grouped with fuzzy clustering methods. Through the combination of fuzzy clustering method, wavelet transform, and correlation method clarify that precipitation in Indonesia influenced by long-term solar activities. The similarity between rainfall periodicity and that of solar activity, especially about 11- and 22- year is one of the indications of the effect of solar activity on the Indoneisn climate parameter. Correlation analyzes using 11 year- running moving averages, shwoed that the pattern of rainfall anomaly changes follows the pattern of solar activity variability, although they are varies in phase and sometimes are out of phase with it and move ahead in about 15-20 years. Meanwhile, results shows that variation of rainfall in western cluster of Indonesian have a good correlation with a long-term solar activity with approximatelly-11 years solar cycle length indicators, and the value of the coefficient correlation reachin gup to r = 0.75. On the contrary, results shows that variation of rainfall in Eastern cluster on Indonesian have a good correlation with solar activity variation and the value of the coefficient correlation reaching up to r = 0.81.
