Isi artikelThe objective of this research is to search the techniques and processing methods of ALOS optical data by using ALOS data (AVNIR-2 and PRISM) fusion (pansharpening) to identify land cover objects/sawah agriculture vegetation. The study method is accomplished by studying literature and conducting experiment using a study area and also performing the methods assesment by doing visual analysis of the ALOS Pansharped image results. This research uses ALOS data (AVNIR-2 and PRISM), acquired on June, 12, 2006, which covered the study area: agriculture area, Bantul, DIY. The experiment results shows that, for identification of land cover objects/sawah agriculture vegetation, the Pansharped image as the result of the Pansharpening method (HSV Image Sharpening0 321 band composite- AVNIR-2 and PRISM (nadir), is the best comparing to another methods: a) Color Normalized (Brovey), b) Gram-Schmidt Spectral Sharpening, and c) PC Spectral Sharpening. Another result is also obtained the spasial information image map of land cover objects/sawah agriculture vegetation, scale: 1: 500.000 as the results of on screen digitation using the ALOS (AVNIR-2 and PRISM) Pansharp image, acquired on June, 12, 2006 which coverd the agriculture area, Bantul, DIY.
