In this study the author investigates the potential of two models of evaluation, the objectives model and the illuminative model, for use in the evaluation of the library user education programme at Dorset Institute of Higher Education. Examples of the evaluation instruments which are to be used during the 1983/4 session are included in the appendices to the report.
