Isi artikel
A survey of some African university libraries conducted in 1981 shows that, there, the concept of subject specialization is relatively new. However, three types of subject divisional arrangement are identified. The University of Jos library is studied as an example of subject divisional arrangement in its pure form. Arguments are put forward as to why African university libraries should adopt subject specialization, and solutions are suggested to problems which might arise.
