They examine the role of the educational research and development unit (a group of persons trained to identify educational objectives and the instructional tools best suited to reaching them), the process of programme planning, and the procedure for setting educational objectives. The next articles focu methods and evaluation and comprise discussions on audiovisual aids, the lecture method, diagnostic examinations, and attitude testing. It is emphasized that such tools must be appropriate not only to curriculum objectives but to the audience.
