The aim of an automatic drug delivery controller is to quickly reduce the oscillatory change in mean blood pressure due to infusion of SNP. This paper presents a new adaptive PI control of mean blood pressure using vasoactive drugs – sodium nitroprussido (SNP). A new algorithm for estimating variation of the time delay and sensitivity of the system is proposed. Hence, the adaptive tuning of the PI parameters can be easily realized.
