The existency of the insects on the land surface is attentively studied for the sake of their influences in the circumstances. The objective of the research is to find out the composition of the insects on the land surface along the Ciliwung river Jakarta, especially in Condet and the watergate Manggarai area which has been done on 24-26 July, 2006. The sample taken randomly used pittfall trap way. The result of the research shows that there are 7 ordos with 27 families (232 indovidues) found which the most are the ordo Coleoptera, Diptera, and Hymenoptera.
