The aim of this research is to obtain information of whether the concepts of science provided in the textbooks of grade six students of elementary schools reflect that science is the subject consisting of concepts that easily understood through inquiries. The population of this reseach includes science textbooks for grade six used in public schools in South Jakarta. Samples for this research are four science textbooks published by different publishers. The samples are taken by using the purposive sampling techniques. Result of this research shows that the science textbooks for grade six student of elementary schools have represented what it is supposed to. The average percentage at the inquiry methods is around 59%. The highest percentage of the inquiry methods is found in the textbooks published by Departemen P dan K.
