Isi artikelStudents' self-efficacy has important effects on their motivation and their achievement. Therefore, it is important to design and conduct instruction that can enhance students' efficacy. In formulation of the learning objectives, teachers should consider the proximity, specificity, and difficulty of the learning objectives. It is also important to organize learning materials with increasing level of difficulty that allow meaningful successful experience in learning. Instructional strategies that teachers can use to promote students' self-efficacy are peer models and strategy training. Before carrying out evaluation, it is important for teachers to state clearly the standard of mastery and excellence. Besides that, the difficulty levels of evaluation items must be within the reach of all students, but not within easy reach. Since students search for positive recognition, it is important to provide feedback and rewards on the students' work. Although there are several strategies that teacher can use to enhance students' self-efficacy, the task of designing and conducting effective instructions rests heavily on the talents and self-efficacy of teachers.
