Scientifically, the education in Democracy and of Human Rights has been considered as an integral part of Civic Education which is aimed at developing intelligent and good citizens. Essentially, the intelligent and good citizens are citizens who are well-informed, committed, and responsible. Such desirable personal qualities should be performed in their daily life at home, in schools, in community, and as far as possible in the world interactions. Accordingly, the ideals, values, concepts, and principles of democracy should be learned, practiced, and socialized. To do so, it is very important that the education in democracy and human rights should organize learning experiences in diverse array of educational settings and by way of involving learners in the process of social decision making. Therefore, it is suggested that critical thinking and problem solving-oriented modes of learning be emphasized.
