Isi artikelThe fast development of information and communication technology eventually influences how distance education (DE) institutions deliver their learning process. Universitas Terbuka (UT) as one of higher education institution fully operating DE system utilizes Internet as one means to provide learning support for its students. This article is based on a research on how distance education students utilize online services in their study. UT regional office in Yogyakarta was chosen as a case for the research involving 145 students selected with quota random sampling from 1,455 students registered in 2003.2. Data were gathered from the 145 respondents using especially designs questionnaire to tap the respondents’ opinion on UT online services, students’ utilization of the services, and constraints in utilizing the services. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis.
