This article discussed the potential of human resources of UPBJJ UT in handling and resolving problems in operating student application system. The potential includes the capability of handling the registration system and the application-supporting component in UPBJJ UT. This article was based on a research conducted in 31 UPBJJ UT with total sample of 118 respondents. The results showed that the staff capability in operating the student application in UPBJJ UT need to be enhanced. Descriptively, the understanding of registration system is higher than the ability of using the supporting component of the student application. Some factors here are predicted as the causes of this situation, such as training to the staff which was not optimally arranged and the lack of learning sources in UPBJJ UT.
