Isi artikelThe accuracy in making formulation of plant medium for the growth of mushroom white oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus)was absolutely needed to get the optimum production of this mushroom. The best formulation of plant medium of mushroom white oyster had been studied. Complete randomized design was used in this experiment. It had five treatments (formulation A, B, C, D and E) and eight repetitions of each. Each formulation consisted of different doses of sawdust as a basic substance, rice siftings, gypsum, and calcium as additional substances. Statistical analysis by using one way ANOVA (5%) showed that treatment b was the best formulation. In average, it produced the highest wet weight of mushrooms, that was 90,15 gr and the highest dry weight of mushrooms, that was 5,96 gr. It was followed by treatment E and C. However, the lowest wet weight of mushrooms were produced by treatment A that was 40 gr and the lowest dry weight of mushrooms was produced by treatment d that was 3,73 gr. The mushrooms were harvested 2 to 4 times, except treatment D and E were 4 times. The Harvest time among treatments are various. Treatment B and E got the first harvest earlier than other treatments, 41,25th and 41,63th day after inoculation. While, treatment C and A got the first harvest longer than other treatments, 48,75th and 48,13th day. In average, the quantity of harvest reduced gradually for all treatments.
