The aim of this research was to determine the effects of manures doses and harvest time and their interaction on yield and sugar content of sweet corn. This research was carried out in Wonosari, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta started from march to Mei 2002. The design of the experiment was factorial 4 x 3 and arranged by the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three repplications: the first factor was doses of farmyard manures, consisted of four levels i.e.: Po = 0 ton/ha, P1 = 2 ton/ha, P3 = 4 ton/ha. The second factor was harvest time consisted of U1 = 60 days after planting, U2 = 65 days after planting, U3 = 70 days after planting. Results of the research showed that (i) The appplication manures could not significantly effect on the parameter flowering dates, length of ear and diameter of ear (ii) The application of manures could effect on the parameter ear weigth with sepals; ear weigth without sepals and marketable ears weigth, sugar content and water content (iii) The application of 3 ton manures and 65 days after planting gave the highest yield of weight ear with sepals, weight ear without sepals; marketable yields respectively.
