Indonesian writers from the 1950s fall into three catagories: 1) those with works created since the Indonesian independence, 2) those starting to create in the early 1950s, and 3) those creating towards the end of the 1950 decade. Through analizing kuantitatif data from literary works in books as well as those from articles published in different media, it was concluded that Indonesian literature was established during the 1950s.
