Isi artikel
On the basis of their recently completed analysis of how robots may affect employment in heavy industry, particularly the automotive industry, the authors conclude that the main result will be a "skill-twist" in which the demand for low-skill jobs will decline while the demand for high-skill engineering and other jobs will rise. H. Allan Hunt is manager of research and Timothy L. Hunt is a senior research economist with the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research, a nonprofit organization. Prior to joining the Institute in 1978, Dr. Allan Hunt taught economics at the University of Connecticut, Lehigh University, and California State University. Dr. Timothy Hunt previously taught economics at Kansas State University. Both have written and spoken extensively on the subject of technological change. This article is based on a chapter in a monograph on the human resource implications of robotics.
