Since League of nations was established, the right to self determination is not considered as the rule of international law but is considered as political concept In 1970, the General Assembly of United Nations published GA resolution No. 2625 (XXV) concerning declaration of international Law Principles which regulated international relation and decided the right to self determination as international law principle. With General Assembly Resolution 1514 (XV) and 1541 (XV) 1960 General Assembly Resolution 1654 (XVI 1961, Covenant on Civil-Political Rights and Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Right 1966, and General Assembly Resolution 2625 (XXV) 1970, United Nations have succeed to speed up the United Nations Decolonization process. |
