He believes that the "Information Age" holds the proise for large-scale benefits, but that these will not come overnight. A professor of the history of technology at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Melvin Kranzberg is the principal founder of the Society for the History of Technology. He also serves as a member of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Advisory Council and chairs NASA's History Advisory Committee.
