Isi artikel
A senior official with the U.S. Government's principal foreign economic development assistance program discusses why he believes that although it will take considerable time, advances in agricultural science may ultimately be able to do for Africa what has already been accomplished in much of Asia-a "green revolution." This interview was conducted by Stewart W. Ramsey, editor-in-chief of Economic Impact. A professor emeritus at Cornell University, Nyle C. Brady's career in the field of agriculture spans more than 40 years. He has been associated with Cornell University since 1947, most recently as associate dean and director of research for the New York State Colleges of Agriculture. Before assuming his present position with the Agency for International Development, Dr. Brady served as director general of the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines from 1973 to 1981.
