After this award has been given, the Regional Conference on Comparative Experiences inPoverty Eradication was opened. This is not the first award received by Indonesia, because previously it had receive several awards for its success in developing various sectors. Those awards are among others: an award from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in the food sector on July 21, 1986;a United Nations Population Award (UNPA) in population sector on June 8, 1989 and another award in the food sector, also from FAO in 1996.
