Litopenaeus vannamei is an economically important aquaculture species in Indonesia. In shrimp industry, many aspects can influence shrimp production. One aspect of interests is sperm production frequency which can affect the quantity of larvae shrimp production. AFLP analysis could be used to differentiate shrimp population based on genetic variation which can be applied for construction of genetic marker. Four candidates of sperm production frequency., markers were identified using ABI Prism 3100-Avant Genetic Analyzer. Based on analysis with GeneScan software, the sizes of DNA fragments for sperm production frequency markers were 136 bp, 170 bp, 270 bp, and 275 bp respectively. |
