Isi artikel"Travel, like education, is unstealable," The Saturday Evening Post noted recently, "You can't break it or lose it, nor does it fall prey to moth, rust or corruption. Travel has all the elements of birth...the world-every sight, sound, smell, taste-is new again." So many people the world over have come to share these sentiments that tourism has mushroomed into one of its great industries. Associated with Michigan State University since 1946, Dr. McIntosh is the author of nine books on his specialty and is a member of numerous professional organizations. One of the most traveled writers reporting on touris is Charles Yarbrough, who describes the team effort that has made the United States a mecca for visitors. The third authority is Emeritus Professor Thomas Cochran of the University of Pennsylvalnia, who has taught also at Oxford and Cambridge, and at other U.S. colleges. Here he illuminates a vital sector of U.S. sector of U.S. society that visitors are invariably interested in observing.
