Isi artikel
Conventional arbitration has lost much of its reputation for quick and effective settlement of industrial disputes, writes Professor Stessin, and escalating costs accompanied by more rigid procedures are the byproducts of delay. In discussing the reasions for the declining status of the traditional arbitration, he shows how a new, streamlined system is reducing the backlog of grievance cases. The author is professor emeritus of business administration, Hofstra University. He is the coauthor of The Encyclopedia of Collective Bargaining Contract Clauses, a frequent contribuitor to the business and financial section of The New York Times and president and editor of Man and Manager, Inc., newsletter publishers.
