The objective of this study was to investigated the omega 3 fatty acid, especially a-linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), of mole crabs Emerita talpoida and E. Analoga. These samples of mole crabs were collected from intertidal zone of Yogyakarta's south coast. In this study, teh omega 3 fatty acid of mole crabs were prepared by in situ transesterification method, and analyzed using gas chromatography.
