It therefore carries on from the study already conducted into references to Hippocrates in papal documents, works which have already been published. In this paper I will dwell upon those passages in the speeches and addresses of popes Pius XII, Paul VI, John Paul I and John Paul II which emphasize the ethical importance of this famous physician of ancient Greece.
