Isi artikelThank you for the opportunity to participate in this important conference examining the status of the elderly in today's world. As Bert Kruger Smith said, "Everyone has been a child. All can understand through muffled memory how childhood was. But none has been old except those who are that now." What he is saying is that our elders are unique resources - for us, our children, our towns, and our countries - and this opportunity to work with you on their behalves is a special one indeed.
