At the beginning of the third millennium the health care ministry is experiencing a lack of ministerial priests. This is in part due to the lack of priestly vocations and is in part perhaps also due to the fact that this priestly ministry is often not understood. In some cases there is a limited vision of its range and it is thought that there are other priorities to be dealt with which do not allow conventration to be placed upon something which can be thought to be peripheral.
