one of the Ministry of Health programs is healthy housing as a part environment health programs and the target of this programs (healthy Indonesia 2010) is 80 % in the year 2010. the objectives of this analysis was to obtain information on healthy housing in Indonesia in 2001 and 2004. This analysis used data of Susenas Modul 2001 and 2004 and as unit analysis was household. The scoring of healthy housing was based on 14 parameters of environmental health such as location of the house, in house overcrowding, kind of floor, lighting, ventilation, source of clean water, type of latrine, excreta disposal, solid waste disposal, air pollution, condition of sptic tank, waste water disposal, fuel for cooking. The parameters were divided into 3 catagories : good, moderate, and bad. The result showed that generally there was an increase of healthy housing percentage with good categories in 2004 compared to 2001, halethy housing with categories increased 11 %, bad categories was decreased bay 10% and moderate wae decreased by 2%. However only 3 province have already reached The Healthy Indonesia 2010 target e.g DKI Jakarta, Bali, and DIY, while the percentage in Bangka Belitung and Bengkulu were much lower than the national target. The percentage of healthy housing with good category in NTT province was still stable ( 7.8 % in 2001 and 8% in 2004).
