Isi artikel
In his message for the World Day of the Sick, Benedict XVI pays especial attention to the incurably ill, above all those who are living out the last stage of their existence. The Supreme Pontiff extended an invitation to promote 'fair social policies that can contribute to the elimination of the causes of many illnesse' and called for the provision of 'better care for those who are dying and those who cannot rely upon medical treatment'. In the words of the Pope emphasis is placed on the need to 'promote policies that are able to create conditions in which human beings can bear incurable illnesses as well and face up to death in a dignified way'.
