Tropical Peat has a potential for ammonia (NH3) absorbtion, therefore it can be used for air pollution control (smell). A research about utilization of tropical peat (Rawa Pening) for ammonia (NH3) absorbtion in the cattle cage has done at Dujuh Kayu Mas, RT.03-RW.03, Desa Kebumen, Kec. Banyubiru, Central of Java on and after tropical peat’s treatment. The result of NH3 analysis, shows that the tropical peat can absorb ammonia and reduce smell in the cattle cage. As long as about 24 hours, the tropical peat can absorbed about 0.138034 ppm or 0.095767 mg/m3. Beside of ammonia absorbtion , decomposition process has happened in the peat and cattle waste and produce organic fertilizer.
