Sea Surface Temperature (SST) and chlorophyll-a concentration using remote sensing method can be detected by Ocean Color and Thermal Scanner (OCTS) of the Advance Earth Observation Satellite (ADEOS) sensor. Such parameters are utilized to estimate fishing ground by an identification of the upwelling and water productivity on the study of fisheries oceanography in tropical area.
