Isi artikelThe objective of this action research was to improve students’ participation with an active learning approach in face-to-face tutorial process. This research involving UT’s students registered in D-II PGSD Program in Jombang during 2005.2 registration period. This research was carried out in three cycles and each cycle consisted of four stages, that is, planning of action, implementation of action, observation, nad reflection. Data were collected using a checklist, documentation, field note, and interview. Data from observation were used as feedback in the reflection stage in each cycle. At the end of the third cycle, data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive technique. Result of research showed that active participation.
