New technologies help people to live more comfortably and safety but, on the other side, they require more energy to operate. Many buildings were designed in such a way to achieve such aesthetical values and comfortable for living but, unfortunately, they have neglected the energy conservation strategies and consequently consuming the huge amount of energy. This paper discus the way buildings may conserve energy without sacrificing comfort and also provides some example of buildings with poor energy performance and some with excellent low energy strategies.
