This research aims at investigating learning independency of S1 students of PGSD in South Sulawesi in tutorial activity of basics statistics if they were taught using structural approach; finding out the tutors’ capability in processing the tutorial activity using structural approach; explaining the level of achievement on the result of students’ learning which was oriented to structural approach; as well as finding out the students’ response on the tutorial before and afterjoining activity. Data were gathered using observation sheet, test, and questionare of students’ response. The results show that tutorial using approach can improve students’ learning independency, tutors are capable in tutorial process, proportion of students’ answer is good, and students want to take further tutorial if taught using structural approach.
