The article considered the procedure to dvelop the performance assessment instruments for assessing student’s science practical works, in the topic photosynthesis. The procedure consisted of reviewing relevant theories, formulating the assessed aspects, developing blueprint and instruments, consulting the instruments to the selected experts, analyzing the results of consulatation, and revising the instruments. The assessed skills of practical work consisted of planning or designing the procedures of practical works; performing works properly, accurately, and safety; providing reasoning concern with the procedures and results, and attitudes during performing and towards the practical works. The results of the study were the set of science performance instruments, which met the criteria of content and construct validity as well as inter rater reliability.
