Isi artikelA thousand people are to have their genomes sequenced in an ambitious three year project that will create the most comprehensive catalogue so far of human genetic variation. The 1000 Genomes Project is to be carried out by an international consortium including the Wellcome Trust’s Sanger Institute in the United Kingdom, the US National Human Genome Research Institute, and the Beijing Genomics Institute in China.
