English teaching in Indonesia applies Communicative Approach. This method aims to enable students to master the four language skills,i.e. reading, listening, speaking, and writing. Students are provided materials based on the Indonesian Version of Communicative Approach. The materials provided to students have no English cultural content. This paper, therefore, tries to introduce the Intercultural Communicative Competence Approach. This approach bridges the students’ cultural gap when they study English as a foreign language. The cultural understandings are inserted in the students’materials. This approach aims to introduce Indoneian students with English cultures.
