Isi artikel
Using a cross - level framework, the authors hypothesized that work group cohesiveness and perceived task competence would be associated with individual group members' performance and organizational commitment. Specifically, the authors tested whether perceived task competence was positively related to performance and organizational commitment and whether work group cohesiveness would explain variance in performance and organizational commitment beyond what was explained by perceived task competence. Four hundred and seventy - one Air Force and civilian employees representing 71 groups from several sites across the United States were used to test the hypotheses. Hierarchical linear modeling analyses produced support for the expected effects.
