Influenza is a respiratory illnes. Symptoms of flu include fever. headache, extrem tiredness, dry cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, and muscle aches. Children can have additional gastrointestinal symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, but these symptoms are uncommon in adults. Influenza was responsible for the most devastating plague in human history the "Spanish" flu that swept around the world in 1918 killing estimated 50 million people worldwide.
