Traditional work measurement systems are limited in their ability to provide the data necessary to evaluate and improve the biomechanical aspects of various jobs. Even the most detailed predetermined motion-time system does not include data regarding postural and manual load-handling factors. Despite these limitations, however, it must be realized that these traditional motion-time analysis systems provide the fundamental data structures and procedures necessary to evaluate potential job-related biomechanical problems. This paper describe the biomechanical aspects that required for motion-time analysis systems.
