Isi artikelThe main policy of the second long term development (PJP II) is human resource development. Food and nutrient intake is one of the important factors in increasing human resource quality. Hence, the Indonesian governmen has launched the improvement of people diet program. Accordingly, the government needs an appropriate tool to evaluate the extent of the success of the program. In relation to this, FAO-RAPA in 1988 introduced a Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP) method. Based on DDP (PPH) has been constructed. This article discusses the meaning and importance of PPH. Besides that, the situation of Indonesian consumption intake and the availability of food in term of energy comparing to the PPH is also discussed.
