Isi artikelThe main objectives of this study is to test empirically a direct effects of the component of control system and indirect effects through job related stress as intervening variable on job performance. The primary data of this study was received from a designer product perception, that collected by mail survey. A 850 questionaires were sent to product designer on otomotive industries in Indonesia and 121 respondents give their perceptions. The data were analyzed by using SEM and SPSS 10.0. The results shows that a direct effects of control system could not improved job performance. This failure indicates that there’s pseudoparcitipation in standard setting. Whereas, indirect effects models through job related stress could improve ajob performance. A positive and significant effects standard tightness on job related stress indicates that there ‘s a willingness to participate in standard setting, then job related stress could optimal and finnally improve the job performance.
