The aim of this research was to create new high yielding soybean genotype. The final target of the research is to release a new high yielding variety of soybean which has resistance gene to soybean rust disease, so that it is expected to decrease the application of fungicide and environmentally friendly. The research method used to reach the aim was by creating new recombinant between parents that adapted to east java and donor parents which resistant or tolerant to soybean rust disease. Donor parent and adapted cultivar were produced during preliminary research. Recurrent parent selection method was used to incorporating resistant gene of soybean rust disease. After five backcross, gene content of hybrid for adapted cultivar considerably increased (expected 98.5%). Furthermore, selving and test of resistance to soybean rust, and high yielding variety for next experiment with stability and adaptability of genotypes. |
