Temporomandibular joint dysfungsional pain syndrome is a multi kausal phenomenon. it has been dokumented that when the condyl was posteriorely placed, the insidence is approximately 90 persent. occasionaly, a patient with posterior displacement will have only joint noise with no palpable muscle paint or acute pain. bilateral joint noise (cliclig) was present on closing, which is typical of this case, a posterior condylor dysplacement. a patient with condylar malposition having acute pain or in need of extensive restoratife prosedures should be treated therapeutically for up to one year before permanent prosedures are initiated. prosthetic therapy for posterior condylar dysplacement has been described using indirec technique for prosthetics programing.
