Ergonomics is defined as the application of scientific information concerning humans to the design of object, system, and environment for human use. One of its applications is design ergonomics of seating (ergonomics chair). It is the applied science of equipment design intended to maximize by reducing operator fatigue and discomfort. Today, anthropometry plays an important role in industrial design, clothing design, chair design, etc; where statistical data about distribution of body dimensions in the population are used to optimize products. Change in life styles, nutrition, and ethnic composition of populations lead to change in the distribution of body dimension. That is why the understanding of anthropometry, including its application on designing ergonomics chair, is important.
