Violence has become increasingly challenging and significant issue in academic environment. However, little amount of research has focused on violence. Therefore, this paper aims to explore and to have a clear picture about violence by investigating students and lecturers on higher education. The results suggest that violence can be physical and non-physical. Internal and external factor of academic environment may be contributed to the violences rate in academic environment. This research also indicates stress, aggresive behavior, emotion, and decreasing quality of academic process as the impact of violence. One issue concerning lecturers and students perspectives on violence is also discussed and reviewed.
