Currently, assessment of emotion, such as anxiety, depressions, and anger could be done not only by using projective techniques and observations, but also by using inventories. The STAXI-2, created by Spielberger, is one among them. The STAXI-2 consists of 6 main scales, 5 subscales, and anger expression index scale. The main purpose of this project is the adaptation of the STAXI-2 to the Indonesian community more accurately. The first phase of the adaptation process was translation-back translation process, dine by six Indonesian bilinguals. Its aim was reconstruct the STAXI-2 in Bahasa Indonesia. Afterward, data collection was conducted, using 245 participants, representating the diverse ethnics in Indonesia. At the final phase, the psychometric properties of this scale was examined using Item-total Correlation and the Alfa-Cronbach techniques. The results showed the sound psychometric properties of this adaptation scale with the items validity were ranging from 0.14 to 0.85 (critical r = 0.1), while the reliability scores were between 0.72 and 0.89.
