Neovascular glaucoma is the end result of a variety ocular ischemic disease and devastating ocular disease with porr prognosis. In this study, the underlying disease, visual acuity, and interocular pressure of neovascular glaucoma were investigated. This study was to determine the characteristic of neovascular glaucoma in dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital Malang. A descriptive review of neovascular galucoma patients that came to outpatient clinic of dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital Malang during January 2000 until March 2006 was done. We found 15 cases (9 males and 6 females). The age was between 34 until 73 years. The median of age was 53 years. The underlying diseases were central retinal vein occlucion (CRVO) (60%), proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) (26.67%), and unknown disease (13.33%). All of the cases were unilateral. The visual acuity when firstly came were counting finger (26.67%), hand motion (20%), light perception (26.67%), and no light perception (26.67%). Intraocular pressure in the first visit were 30 - < 50 mmHg (13.33%) and = 50 mmHg (86.67%). The given therapy for all cases was antigalucoma medications. Most patients were male and the intraocular pressure in the first visit was = 50 mmHg. Central retinal vein occlusion was the most common underlying disease. The majority of patients came with bad visual acuity.
