The purpose of this research is to findmout gender biased jour¬nalism in the presentation of females as seenin the ‘Nah ini Dia” column, Pos Kota newspaper, September 2003 editions as reflected in language sexism, terms that derogate females physically or phychologically/mentally in such a way that shows lack of objectivity of the press in cases involving women. The research method applied is quaitative, based on Sarah Mills’ critical analysis perspective. The research proves that gender bias toward female representation in the press really exists. Females are mostly pictured as objects of suffer¬ings and their presence are positioned as ‘loser’ and marginal, the words used are sexist physically or psychologically. The limited objectivity of the reporters of the column “Nah ini Dia” is caused by a paternalistic objective.
